myrollingstar:

I received like forty messages asking for the brand of watercolors and brush that I’ve been using in the past few days;;; Here’s a post for all of you!
Koi Water Colors Pocket Field Sketch Box (24 colors)- I only got it about five days ago, so I’m still trying it out. I saw it first when doodling with Haku, and thought it would be a good set to start with! The variety of colors are great, and the box comes with a waterbrush, palette, and sponges. I can literally pull this out anywhere I want and color away.
Niji Waterbrush- I have the medium and small size. I like to be able to take my art stuff out and about, and this makes it easy since the water is already contained.
Both of these can be found online and in many art stores.
It’s been years since I last tried dabbling in another traditional medium, so I’m still trying to figure out how to do things with it. Thank you for all of your encouragements and feedback so far!

oma-shu:

legend of korra scenery

less than a month ppl (wow big budget..)

five books/series i must finish this year

1. 1Q84 - Haruki Murakami

A Japanese book, yes! I already know the antics and style of Japanese and how their stories usually play out, so there’s no doubt that I’ll probably love this book. Sort of a play on Orwell’s 1984, so the plot seems good. It’s got a cult following, which means I’ll love it already. Maybe.

2. The Fall - Albert Camus

Author of my favourite book, The Stranger. Gonna try to read more of his work.

3. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Crying because we’re not reading this in English class, and I saved myself from reading it last summer. So I must finish it this year. Same thing that happened with To Kill a Mockingbird too. :’(

4. Catch 22 - Joseph Heller

I own this book. It’s been collecting dust on my bookshelf. It’s big, maybe it’s time to read it.

5. One Piece - King Oda

Yes, manga..but undoubtedly, probably, is the best manga series of all time as dubbed by..the world. (Although I argue the simplicity of Aria and Yotsuba tbh. And throw in FMA) It’s long and still isn’t finished. But I’ve put off reading this masterpiece of a series for far too long. It’s time to read it and see what the real hype is all about. King Oda, King of Foreshadowing (I am the biggest sucker for foreshadowing). I know what it’s about but I..NEED TO READ THIS. I wish more people would give good manga a chance. These are masterpiece stories that more people should be familiar with.
